Top Hip-Hop Headlines Of The Week: 8/5 – 8/9

New, New Friends. Old, Old Friends. No, No New Friends. The theme in hip-hop this week was about people coming together. Kanye joined Lil Wayne on stage setting hip-hop abuzz with thoughts of potential collaborations and the end to their great Cold War. Nas raised money for a displaced family. Meanwhile, a couple of old business partners posed together for a photo op proving that time can heal all wounds. If they can change, maybe we can change but if not... this is the week in hip-hop.

On Monday, Drake's annual OVO Fest occurred in Toronto where Drizzy brought out Yeezy as a very surprise guest to the audience's immediate rapture. No word on if this will lead to music together but thirsty rap fans are thinking about it, anyway.
