T.I.’s Paper Trail is stopping short.

According to mtvnews.com, the re-release of his sixth album—dubbed Paper Trail: Case Closed—has been shelved indefinitely.

"The re-release is definitely not happening," a spokesperson from Atlantic Records told MTV News. "We plan on releasing the additional songs digitally."

The encore release of T.I.’s sixth album was scheduled to hit stores in August with five new tracks, in addition to those hosted on the original release.

As XXLMag.com previously reported, the Atlanta rapper filmed two clips for the re-release before reporting to jail in May. The video for his Mary J. Blige collaboration, “Remember Me,” hit the Internet yesterday (July 13), yet plans for the second clip are unknown and reps for Tip had no comment at press time.

There is also no word on what songs or videos from the project will drop on the Web.

According to Nielsen Soundscan, T.I.’s Paper Trail has moved 1,977,000 units since its September 30, 2008 debut, making it Tip’s best selling album. –John Kennedy
