The internet went nuts after T.I. said he couldn't "vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman.” Tameka “Tiny” Harris, T.I.'s wife, was stopped by TMZ and gave her thoughts about her husband's comments. "Sometimes [he’s sexist]. He just lives in the old ‘man take care of woman,’ chivalry-type thing," she said. "I didn’t hear it, but I would hope he was joking. He might’ve been thinking about me at the time. He just wants to be the man. He wants to take care of everything, and he want the woman to be a woman and be treated like a princess. Sometimes I do [agree with him], I can’t say that I don’t. But I also think that a woman has the right to do just as much as a man.”

During a radio interview, Tip was asked about his thoughts on Hillary Clinton potentially being the President of the United States. The ATL rapper stated that he was against it because “women make rash decisions emotionally.” “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well," he said. "But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. [Other leaders] will not be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy; the world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”

As soon as the comments hit the web, people became outraged by the sexist comments. T.I. would release an apology via his Twitter soon after. "My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended," he wrote. T.I. is gearing up to release his 10th album, The Dime Trap, later this year.
