The LOX Shed Light on Their Pain for New Song “Hit a Roach”
The LOX—who were recently featured as one of the cover stars of XXL's 20th anniversary issue—are back with the powerful new track "Hit a Roach." Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss rap about their individual trials and tribulations for the single. Fans will gravitate to this record.
Styles P starts the song off and sets the tone: "I say a prayer than I hit a roach/No longer a beginner/But I still remain a sinner/Though the end may be getting close."
"Bail out my friend or pay my son's tuition/Why talk when these niggas don't even fucking listen," he raps. "I was in London when I got the news/30 days for my mama to pass/I punched the wall. almost put my arm in a fuckin' cast."
To go along with the new song, the trio also announced they are hitting the road with Smoke DZA and Statik Selektah for their Key to Life Tour. It kicked off yesterday (Oct. 8) in Charlotte, N.C. and will be hitting Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Baltimore, Cleveland before ending in Buffalo, N.Y. at the end of the month.
