The Lox and Mtume Show Off on Statik Selektah’s “But You Don’t Hear Me Tho”

Statik Selektah links up with The LOX and Mtume for "But You Don't Hear Me Tho," the second single off his upcoming 8 album.

Following up his 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa-assisted first single “Man Of The Hour" that dropped back in July, "But You Don't Hear Me Tho" finds the veteran trio go to work lyrically while Mtume adds additional vocals. This is classic hip-hop at its finest.

“This is classic hip hop music, for lovers of hip hop music. No gimmicks.” Statik says of the song. “Very excited for this record, which celebrates how amazing this culture is... and when I say culture I'm not talking that shit y'all hash tagging lately!”

After signing a management deal with Roc Nation, Statik Selektah announced his forthcoming studio album, 8, back in May. His LP will drop on Dec. 8 and feature big names such as 2 Chainz, Joey Bada$$, Run the Jewels, The LOX, Wale, Action Bronson, Black Thought, Raekwon, Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, Conway and the late Sean Price.
