Just when it looked like Gwyneth Paltrow was in hot water over a controversial tweet sent from her Twitter account this past weekend, The Dream has stepped in to take the blame.

On Friday night (June 1), while watching her friend Jay-Z and Kanye West perform the Watch the Throne concert in Paris, the tweet, “Ni**as in paris for real @mrteriusnash, tyty, beehigh” went out from Paltrow’s Twitter account.”

When people began to react to the tweet on Twitter, Paltrow responded with:

“Hold up. It’s the title of the song!” she posted on her account Sunday (June 5).

The Dream came to Paltrow’s defense too, tweeting, that it was he who typed out that tweet from Gwen’s phone, not the actress herself.

“FYI, sorry for the confusion. I typed Niggas in Paris for real’ from Gwen’s phone, my bad,” he said. “Please excuse it! We were lit!”

Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, have been known to be close friends with Jay-Z and Beyoncé for many years.—Jakinder Singh
