T.I. Told Jay-Z, Doe B Is Southern Notorious B.I.G.
T.I. always knew he had a gem in Doe B. A video was published Tuesday on Hustle Gang’s YouTube page, which highlighted T.I ruminating on his conversation with Jay Z at Hov’s tenth anniversary for The 40/40 Club, in which he compared the late southern rapper to The Notorious B.I.G.
“I said, ‘Man. Doe B is the Southern Biggie,’" T.I. said. “And the man looked at me. He took his glasses off and said, ‘What did you say?’ I said, ‘I said he’s the Southern Biggie.’ He said, ‘Don’t say that.’ I said, ‘Why not say that? You’re saying the South don’t deserve a Biggie.’ He said, ‘You thought about this, didn’t you?’”
Doe B, was shot and killed December 28th 2013 at the Centennial Bar and Grill in Montgomery, Alabama. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Despite his horrific death, Doe B’s memory is still intact as his mixtape Definition of a Trapper 3—his first posthumous endeavor—was released today featuring Trae the Truth, Young Dro, Boston George, among others.
