Swizz Beatz Wants To Open A “Club For Artists” To Celebrate Art
Swizz Beatz has a history of collecting art and in the past, played an integral role in curating several exhibitions. Now, Swizz wants to help his hometown by providing a community for local artists to gather and thrive fruitfully. He spoke with the NY Post and revealed his desire in developing a club like environment for aspiring artists.
"It’s a huge space downtown, and I hope it could become a club for artists, like a Soho House," he said, "but without membership fees so they can work, share ideas and celebrate together. Artists are being forced out of New York because of the cost of living, so I want to create a new community to help them."
Swizz revealed that he has been approached about possibly starting a "club for artists" in the Meatpacking District. However, he wouldn't reveal details about the possible venture, but the concept sounds very appealing.
