New York rapper Squidnice is a rising newcomer who's making waves. The Staten Island native drops "Nina," an Adrian Lau-produced song off his upcoming mixtape, The Craccen. On "Nina," Squidnice uses his melodic sound to craft a catchy song that will get stuck in your head.

"The meaning of 'Nina' can be interpreted differently," said Squid, "and has been heard in other rap music before referring to anything from a lil ho to a specific pistol. Looking forward to the new project good looking for the support."

Squidnice made a name for himself when he dropped "Trap by My Lonely," in 2015, which has gained 1 million plays on SoundCloud. He made more new fans after performing during the 2017 SXSW festival and releasing "Everywhere I Go" earlier this year. With The Craccen tape coming out in the next few months, Squidnice could see his star power increase tremendously.

The rapper became a bit of a viral sensation when a photo of him as a child became popular as the "If he's 5, I'm 5" meme. Now Squidnice is sticking with the same throwback theme for the cover art of his "Nina" track, which finds his childhood head superimposed on the body of a man sitting beside infamous drug lord Griselda Blanco.

Squidnice is gaining a strong fan base due to his music and personality, both of which caught the attention from known notable designers of the Hood By Air brand. He walked the runway to showcase their Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear collection last year. He also performed at a separate New York Fashion Week show in February.
