Soulja Boy Wasn’t Serious About Putting a Bounty on Rico Recklezz
On Nov. 6, Soulja Boy took to Twitter and placed a $100,000 bounty on Rico Recklezz' head. Now, the "Crank Dat" rapper tells TMZ the bounty "was never serious."
The TMZ reporter tracks down SB at Los Angeles International Airport and asks him about the Rico Recklezz death threat, and Soulja replies, "That was not serious. That was taken out of context. Them tweets was deleted. That's not serious man." You can view the full clip above courtesy of TMZ.
Soulja Boy seems more intent on talking about how he's making bread from concerts, projects and shoe/clothing lines. He says, "We gettin' money baby. New album dropping November 18th ... I got $100,000 cash on me right now, shorty. What we talking about? I'm not on new beef. I'm not beefing with nobody, bro. I'm getting money, bro."
He continues, "Right now I'm going to Dubai, bro. I'm finna make $100,000 cash, bro. I don't beef bro ... I just signed a million-dollar deal, bro. I just made $500,000 off selling my shoes and going hard on my clothing line. We not worried about no beef, bro. I ain't never even heard of these dudes ... God blessed me, man. I'm on my way to Dubai. Somewhere they would never be. They would never be in Dubai doing a show."
The Soulja Boy-Rico Recklezz beef began when Rico mentioned Soulja’s name on the song “No Talking.” Recklezz spits, “Soulja hoe ass keep dissing Yachty, his bitch ass ain’t even got no bodies/Talking tough on Twitter, but his scary ass was scared to come to the lobby.”
Yesterday (Nov. 16), a video surfaced of one of Rico's crew members FaceTiming Soulja Boy. The two camps seemed to clear the air a bit, with Soulja Boy saying, “That nigga put my name in a song, bro. Them tweets weren’t even about him. I’m on paperwork right now, so we don’t even play those types of games. Ain’t nobody gon’ put no money on nobody’s head, none of that bro. A nigga just need to holla at me… I need me and him to talk, feel me.”
