Future has had a busy year. Beast Mode, his collaborative EP with Zaytoven, is one of the 2014's strongest efforts, a dynamic record that showcases the entire range of Future's abilities, from the stilted, biting "Peacoat" to the unrestrained "No Basic." That was followed by 56 Nights, a mixtape with DJ Esco, named for the latter's stint in a Dubai jail after he was caught with marijuana in his luggage. The single and standout cut from 56 Nights, "March Madness," is a tour de force for Future, littered with dirty Sprite and laments for the men and women gunned down by police officers. A perfect fit, of course, for a futuristic science fiction film.

Some enterprising soul has taken it upon his or herself to cut together "March Madness" and the trailer for Christopher Nolan's most recent film, Interstellar. The song's NASA references may have been the catalyst, but the sense of urgency Future Hendrix conveys is perfect for the Matthew McConaughey- and Anne Hathaway-starring film, which was released last year to critical acclaim. If the title of Future's 2012 debut album--Pluto, for the uninitiated--is to be believed, maybe the Atlantan can be a featured player in Nolan's next foray into the great unknown.
