ORIGINAL STORY:

Slim 400 was the victim of a shooting that took place on Friday (June 28) in his hometown of Compton, Calif.

The incident occurred last night around 8:30 p.m, reports TMZ. The police reportedly arrived on the scene after getting called about shots being fired and discovered the YG affiliate with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.

Not much is known about the shooting or the motive at this time. A black vehicle possibly involved in the incident was seen fleeing the scene. According to some reports, the 'Foe Block rapper was shot up to 10 times.

Slim has been on a musical run as of lately. Earlier this month, he collaborated with Yowda on the new project State Line. In April, he put out the solo offering High off TTreez, which features guest appearances from Lil Yachty, Twista, Bloody Jay, Budda Ru, Peryon J Kee and more.

Last year, Slim infamously got into an argument with 6ix9ine outside the Long Beach, Calif. Hyatt Regency where ComplexCon was taking place. The altercation was preceded by Tekashi starting beef with YG that had become heated. Afterward, 6ix tried to instigate the situation by throwing more fuel into the fire.

The story of the shooting is developing. XXL has reached out to Slim 400's camp for more information.
