Kanye West returned home late last month after being hospitalized for exhaustion, many wondering about his physical and mental state as he recovers. West made his first public appearance Thursday night (Dec. 8) attending a Rick Owens furniture exhibit at the MOCA Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The night prior, Entertainment Tonight spoke to Scooter Braun at the fourth annual Make-A-Wish Wishing Well Winter Gala in Los Angeles, asking the high-profile music manager about 'Ye.

"[Kanye] is a fantastic individual and I am blessed to call him my friend," Braun said. "He's doing great, thank you." In May of this year, Braun began managing West, though in an unofficial capacity. Braun had said around that time, "I've known Kanye for about 10 years... And recently I reached out to him kind of just to say, 'how are you?' As a friend, checking in, seeing all the tabloid stuff, just curious."

For Braun, the interview came on the hells of this week's Grammy nominations, his close friend and client Justin Bieber nominated for Album of the Year and Song of the Year. Kanye meanwhile was nominated for Best Rap Album, two songs off The Life of Pablo —"Famous" and "Ultralight Beam" — receiving nods for Best Rap Song.
