In April of 2014, DJ Rashad, pioneering figure in Chicago's footwork scene, died at age 34 because of a drug overdose. The medical examiner's office that performed the autopsy reported that heroin, cocaine and alprazolam—or Xanax—were found in Rashad's system. His death was ruled an accident.

A few month before DJ Rashad passed, Sasha Go Hard was playing a show in San Francisco and linked up with Rashad, DJ Spinn and Tasco to work on music. Sasha finally released the song today (Dec. 1) titled "Get the Cash." The high energy banger that finds Sasha Go Hard delivering braggadocious about money. "Fuck a hater, get the cash," she raps on the hook. Bump the record above. At the end of the song, there's a short clip of an interview DJ Rashad gave. It's a touching tribute to a talent that died way too soon. R.I.P/ DJ Rashad.

Sasha Go Hard dropped her Nutty World 3 mixtape this past October. The 10-track project is hosted by DJ Amaris and although it’s free of features, the tape boasts production from beat smiths all over the map: Cash Bag Beats, Young Haz on the Beat, JD On The Track, Daki Daw Me, and AV.
