Listen to Rico Nasty’s Latest Project ‘Nasty’
Hip-hop woke up to a string of new releases today (June 15), including Rico Nasty's latest project, the long-awaited NASTY.
The 14-track offering is a collection of melodic bangers from the popular Maryland rapper. She opens up the project with "Bitch I'm Nasty," a spacey, charged-up cut, before jumping into the "Superthug"-sampled "Countin' Up."
"I'm the bitch with the long hair and the top off/Talk tough like a pop top, we twist your top off/Had to hit the turn quick just to get the narcs off/I'm the real deal shorty and you just a knock off" Rico raps over The Neptunes' classic production, mixed by Kenny Beats.
Rico trades bars with 2018 XXL Freshman BlocBoy JB on the project's Tay Keith-produced track "In the Air." On the second verse, the Memphis spitter delivers some threatening bars, telling his enemies "Boy you trippin', you gon' come up missin'/Handguns got extensions/We don't play, bitch this ain't 2k/Yo ass can come up missin' (that's on my momma)."
Other notable tracks include "Transformer" with Lil Gnar, who rages with the budding rap star on the Lex-Luger-produced trap anthem, and her latest single "Trust Issues."
Rico's newest body of work certainly mirrors the year she's having. Along with the newly-dropped NASTY, the Atlantic signee is going on a 28-city tour starting July 27. View some of the places you can catch her live below after streaming the project.
