Rich Homie Quan Says He’s Not a Rapist
Rich Homie Quan has been in the news for all the wrong reasons as of late after two separate leaked songs contained lyrics about rape. In May, a leaked RHQ song called "I Made It" featured the lyrics "Don’t want your ho, just want that cookie from her/She tried to resist so I took it from her/How you gonna tell me no/You must not know who I am/Even if I’m on the road I see what’s goin’ on cause you know I got cameras/I don’t know no questions but I know the answers/I throw these black fists just like a panther.”
After issuing a statement saying he "would never condone rape" and appeared on The Breakfast Club to clear his name, "Day 1" leaked and featured another rape lyric in the chorus. "Chances ain’t shit if you don’t take one/Mansion full of bitches bout to rape one/I been eating money like a tapeworm/I been getting money since day one," rapped RHQ.
Now that the issue has come up twice, Rich Homie has been forced to talk about it again and spoke with Billboard during a quick Q+A. The rapper even went as far as saying he's "not a rapist" this time around. "I do not condone or promote rape. I'm not a rapist," he said. "That song was recorded in Dec. 2012. I was young and just rapping. At the time, I had no guidance in my life. I blame it on that. So I apologize once more to my fans."
