In case you've been living under a rock, you're aware that Chris Brown was arrested by LAPD for assault with a deadly weapon yesterday (Aug. 30) and released on $250,000 bail. In an Instagram video, Ray J sticks up for his close friend, just as 50 Cent, Lil Mama and other artists have done.

Ray J says, "I'm real upset about today. I'm not happy with how things are handled, and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than what it should be."

You can view the IG video in its entirety above.

Chris' catastrophe occurred when a girl named Baylee Curran made a call to 911, saying Brown had pointed a gun at her. But some people are questioning Curran's version of events, especially because she's said two different things. In one interview, she said she did touch the jewelry that she was admiring, but in another, she insists she didn't lay her hands on it.
