It's been a minute since we've heard from 2010 XXL Freshman, Pill. Today (Feb. 26), he returns with the new banger, "Back Right."

The fittingly-titled track is produced by 808 Mafia, and finds the rapper announcing his return over a solid trap instrumental. "They say I done got back right/Still give your bitch that act right," he raps on the chorus. Later on in the track, the ATL spitta employs Auto-Tune to let the people know he's returned like he never left.

Pill first made a name for himself in 2009, with the single, "Trap Goin' Ham," off his debut mixtape, 4180: The Prescription. The following year, he was selected to the 2010 XXL Freshman Class, which also featured J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Nipsey Hussle, Freddie Gibbs and others.

In 2011, he inked a deal with Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group imprint. At the time, he was excited about the opportunity. "My music is complimenting their style," he told XXL. "When you’ve got somebody that raw and that intelligent that can touch on all angles and come from every side with it and be able to clarify it and also be able to give you stories, whatever angle it may be, it’s a true testimony. If I’m on a track with Ross or whoever it may be I can switch to any subject. It’s always going to be clarity with me. I think I bring more versatility than any other artist in the game."

The marriage to MMG was short-lived. Pill parted ways with the label the following January. He dropped his latest offering, The Epidemic, later that year. Now, after a long hiatus, he's back in his bag.
