Phora has no issue getting personal on tracks, and his latest release "Holding On" finds the rapper taking it there as well.

On the new track, the Anaheim, Calif. rapper rhymes about a relationship gone bad over acoustic-driven production from Ocean Beats, Captain Pizza, Keshi and Anthro. This situation seems to be very serious, which is making it hard for the MC to let go. He laments his feelings honestly.

"Yeah, I’ve just been so numb, it feels like nothing’s real/I’ve just been so empty, I can’t fuckin’ feel," he raps on the slow track. "But I can feel my body start to fade/My heart is cold that’s why I’m so sick of taking all these fuckin’ pills/I don’t ever talk about it much/Drinking every day, just to escape the memories of us/You paint me as a villain, but my blood is on your brush/I was in it til’ the end, you was in it for the rush."

The George Orozco and 6th Element-directed video finds the rapper looking somber in a dark room while he spills his soul for the camera.

This is Phora's second new release following his debut album Yours Truly Forever, which came out last August. The first was the turnt track "Boss Up" featuring Trippie Redd. Phora recently wrapped up touring on G-Eazy's The Beautiful & Damned Tour.
