Oddisee Will Package A New Mixtape With Upcoming Instrumental Album

Oddisee is dropping an instrumental album on October 1, and the Mello Music Group chief announced today via Okayplayer that fans that purchase the album will also receive a mixtape along with it. The mixtape, titled Tangible Dream, will feature vocals as well and will be available in CD, vinyl or digital (via Bandcamp) versions.

The Beauty In All is Oddisee's first instrumental project since 2011's Rock Creek Park, which itself wasn't entirely lacking in vocals. And while the first offering off the project, titled "Lonely Planet," can be found here, O also released the first song from Tangible Dream as well, "Own Appeal," which is below.

“The Beauty In All is about the flaws & mistakes that give life its character & worth,” Oddisee wrote on Mello Music Group’s Bandcamp page when announcing the album. “This record is dedicated to imperfection & the sense of pride & accomplishment we get from our struggles. Hopefully you listen to this record & reflect on the ups & downs of life & see the beauty in all.”

Meanwhile, O is out on tour through Canada and the Midwest, stopping in New York City October 12 before heading to New Zealand and a number of European shows. See the full tour dates below.
