Even experienced Los Angelenos get frustrated trying to find parking, as Nipsey Hussle demonstrated today (June 24). On his approach to the Microsoft Theater for tonight's 2018 BET Awards, the Victory Lap rapper slapped a security guard for blocking his vehicle's path, TMZ reports.

According to the report, Hussle and his crew were trying to bypass a set of traffic cones because the rapper was in a hurry to make a rehearsal for a pre-show performance. In footage of the incident filmed by a witness, an apparent security official can be seen batting a cone out of the hands of a man in Hussle's company. Almost immediately, the rapper turns to the guard and slaps him in the face.

Another guard restrains Hussle while tensions simmer, and eventually the Crenshaw veteran gets back in his car. It's unclear whether any arrests were made. In any case, Hussle made it to BET's outdoor stage in time to perform with YG minutes before the awards show kicked off.

Nicki Minaj, Migos, Meek Mill and more will be performing at tonight's show, hosted by Jamie Foxx. The night is expected to be dominated by DJ Khaled and Kendrick Lamar, nominated in six categories and five categories, respectively.

Hussle released his debut album Victory Lap in February. You can watch video of the Crenshaw legend slapping a man outside the 2018 BET Awards below.
