Nicki Minaj and B.o.B Stand Firm, While EL-P Doubles Up On This Week’s Charts
For another consecutive week, it was Nicki Minaj and B.o.B that held down the rap releases on the Billboard 200.
As she's a week away from earning a gold plaque for her sophomore offering, Nicki's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded pulled in a total of 18,000 units, placing her at No. 20 bringing her grand total to 492,800 since the April 3rd release.
Dropping from last week's slot at No. 20 to No. 32 is Atlantic Records' own, B.o.B who's Strange Clouds release has now sold about 130,500 copies in its fourth week.
Cracking onto the charts this week is Company Flow alum, El-P who's latest album, Cancer 4 Cure entered at No. 69 with 6,600 copies sold. P's recent release comes after the release of he and Killer Mike's critically-acclaimed R.A.P. Music project which dropped from No. 43 last week to No. 166, pushing 3,000 units.
Drake and his Take Care offering are inching closer to a double platinum certification, as the sophomore effort lands at No. 41 this week, with 9,500 copies sold, bringing his total sales to 1.75 million.
Will Azealia Banks's 1991 EP have what it takes to crack the charts? Stay tuned to find out next week.—Ralph Bristout (@XXLRalph)
