Nia Long Assures J. Cole He Isn’t Too Young for Her
It pretty much goes without saying that Ms. Nia Long is universally considered one of the sexiest women in hip-hop. And while the actress has been mentioned in many rap songs over the years, she rarely speaks on her sex symbol status. But when Long sat down with Larry King for his new radio show, Larry King Now earlier this week (May 2) and let slip that she's into dating younger men, giving a special shout out to one rapper in particular.
"Why do they talk about you in hip-hop music?," asked Larry King after rattling of a list of notable rappers who've mentioned the chocolate goddess in their songs over the years.
"I don't know," Long said coyly with a smirk. When King followed up with the plainly stated question, "Are you a sex symbol?" the 45-year-old broke it down.
"I grew up in a time when Puffy Combs was running nightclubs in New York City and Boyz in the Hood was out and Heavy D and my beloved brother who I miss dearly, Biggie Smalls, Tupac...this was an era where we were all sort of growing up in this business and kind of changed the game a little bit. Urban music, Black music, Black films, we actually had a space to do our thing and the rappers are kind of just feeling Nia Long a little bit, I don't know."
Like a true newshound, King pressed on with the subject and quoted North Carolina rapper J. Cole who rapped in 2015's "No Role Modelz" "My only regret was too young for Lisa Bonet/My only regret was too young for Nia Long/Now all I'm left with is hoes from reality shows/Hand her a script the bitch probably couldn't read along"
"He's really not too young, he just doesn't know it." answered Nia with a sexy smile. Oh word. Nia?
Even though Nia is a certified eye candy, she might have missed the boat on dating the 2014 Forest Hills Drive rapper. It was confirmed back in January that Cole married his college sweetheart, Melissa Heholt.
