Chris Brown Accused of Punching a Woman in Las Vegas

Chris Brown's New Year has already gotten off to a bad note as the R&B singer is accused of punching a woman at a private party in Las Vegas.

The incident is purported to have happened early Saturday (Jan. 2) morning. According to TMZ, the accuser claims she attended a party held by Breezy in a suite at the Palms Hotel in Sin City. Though there was a strict no cell phone policy, the woman says she snuck her phone past security and flashed a picture of Brown during the soiree. This reportedly enraged the singer, who then went off on a tirade before punching the woman once in the eye.

She claims she left the party and called the police. Authorities are currently investigating the situation with Brown as their main suspect.

The Virginia crooner performed his first show of the New Year in Vegas at Drai's Nightclub on Jan. 1 with the hotel shindig apparently serving as the afterparty. Never one to shy away from expressing his feelings on social media, Brown or his reps have yet to speak on the allegations.

Last March, Brown completed his probation from an assault conviction stemming from his 2009 attack of Rihanna. If this new allegation is true, the singer's rebuilt reputation will undoubtedly take a major blow. For now, these are just allegations.
