Chris Brown's next album will be called Royalty, an ode to the daughter he welcomed into the world last year. The always-embattled singer, who's currently being investigated for assault, sparring with the creators of one of the year's biggest rap albums and possibly banned from the country of Australia, is trying to put the troubled din behind him with the new LP. He's returning to his roots as a dance-happy stylist in the self-directed video for "Liquor/Zero" and focusing on substantive song topics with his fans on Twitter, all in the hopes of rehabbing his image. But he's taken on an even greater responsibility out of the public eye, winning shared custody of that same daughter. Now, it's as official as it can be: Royalty will take her dad's last name, Brown.

Earlier this summer, Royalty's mother, Nia Guzman, filed for full custody of the child in Houston courts. (The move came less than a month after Brown filed papers to establish paternity.) A subsequent court decision gave each parent shared custody, and according to TMZ, the final details of that agreement have been hammered out. The singer will have his daughter 12 days every month; none of his time has to be supervised. Brown will pay Guzman $2,500 each month, plus all medical bills, health insurance, child care, school costs and $15,000 in back support. And, as stated, her name will be Royalty Brown, no middle name, no gimmicks.
