Yesterday afternoon it was OVO takeover time on Beats 1, the free radio station on Apple's new streaming service. After catching a buzz with the release of his wildly entertaining video for "Energy" on Friday, Aubry kept the focus on him as he tried his first gig as a celebrity DJ. Before the show, Drizzy recently hyped up his debut on the airwaves on Twitter typing, “That radio show you don’t want to miss,” adding, “Oliver vs Drake sound clash so you know I had to let exclusives ring off. No sound can test. AT ALL.”

As promised, Drake and the nem, including OVO co-founder Oliver El-Khatib and Austin producer Eric Dingus, were celebrity guest DJs for the neophyte show. The Drizzy gang got a whole two hours of programming, handpicking songs from a divergent group of artists including Meek Mill and Justin Bieber, as well as playing some brand new joints in Majid Jordan’s “My Love," Wizkid’s “Ojuelegba,” Ramriddlz’s “Sweeterman,” and Roy Wood$’ “Drama.”

Apple continues to expand their newly launched streaming service. They have also hired Dr. Dre and Pharrell to host segments on the budding radio show. Dre's show will be titled The Pharmacy. Kanye West, Eminem and Hot 97′s Ebro from Ebro in the Morning will also be apart of the radio component. This is all a part of the tech giant's plan to takeover the streaming game, amongst stiff competition from services like Spotify, Pandora and Tidal.
