Nav and The Weeknd Join Forces for New Song “Some Way”
Nav is gearing up to drop his debut project later this month. Today (Feb. 15), he teams up with fellow Canadian artist The Weeknd for a new single, titled "Some Way."
Nav and The Weeknd trade verses over an icy, infectious instrumental. "Them be my bros, be my bros till the death of me/Nobody know, nobody know how I really be," The Weeknd croons. "I got some bars for a nigga if he wanna see/Dress up your talk if a nigga wanna talk to me/Fuck your phone calls, I don't want apologies/Everyone said, yeah they said I was gonna peak/Most number ones, number ones in a nigga league."
Additionally, some people are speculating that Abel is taking shots at Justin Bieber with the following line, "Think your girl, think your girl, fell in love with me/She see my fuck and my tongue game a remedy." Of course, The Weeknd is currently dating Bieber's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
In other Nav-related news, the up-and-coming Toronto rapper recently connected with Belly for their "Re-Up" music video. On that track, Nav spits, “Born alone, die alone/I let the drugs take my soul/First time I bought some weed I was sold/If I get 40 thousand for a show/I’m scared I’ll spend 20 thousand on some dope/Either RAF or Ricky on my toes."
You can cop "Some Way" via iTunes now for $1.29, or stream the new record below courtesy of Apple Music. Stay tuned for his debut project, dropping late February.
