Mike Will Made-It has been hyping us up all month, teasing the release of his new mixtape Ransom 2. The project was slated to drop yesterday (Jan. 29), but failed to make its mark. The Atlanta producer has good reason for the delay. He is trying to get vocals from currently incarcerated frequent collaborator Gucci Mane.

Mr. 23 took to social media to announce the delay yesterday. "Can't drop a Trap tape w/o the Trap God... #RANSOM2 now being hosted by Gucci Mane from the Feds," he posted on Twitter. "He (Gucci Mane) said give him a couple days to say his piece... To talk to the streets... Thanks for your patience, he added.

The hit-making producer noted that he had never dropped a project that didn't feature Gucci Mane, so he feels compelled to continue with a formula that isn't broke. Now, it looks like it will be next week before Ransom 2 hits the 'Net.

Mike Will has already debuted two songs off the project including "Al Sharpton" featuring Future and "Chance" featuring Rae Sremmurd. Along with the Gucci announcement, Will also noted that Big Sean and Lil Wayne will appear on the tape.

Speaking of Guwop, it will be at least another year before he can get in the studio with Mike Will personally. After rumors circulated that he would be released this March, the Atlanta rapper has been confirmed to be staying in prison and won't get released until 2017.
