Today (May 14), Memphis rapper Snootie Wild drops his latest mixtape, Ain't No Stoppin' Me. The long-awaited project features Gunplay, Blac Youngsta, Chinx and Boosie Badazz, who appears on the just-released "Hatin'." Preceded by "12," "Rich or Not" and "Play Wit' a Brick," the tape aims to paint Snootie as a standout voice in the South's crowded field, a stylist whose versatility means he can keep up with nearly any collaborator. Ain't No Stoppin' Me comes courtesy of Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group imprint, to which Wild signed in the fall of 2013. His most prominent single to date is "Yayo," which featured Gotti and eventually received a remix from T.I.

Last fall, Snootie released Go Mode, an EP on CMG and Epic, to whom he is also signed. The six-song set included Yayo and its remix, as well as collaborations with K Camp, August Alsina and fellow Tennessee lyricist Starlito. The 30-year-old has also appeared on songs with Da Mafia 6ix ("Gimme Back My Dope Remix"), Que ("God Bless the Trap") and Boldy James ("Bet That Up," which also featured Baton Rouge's Kevin Gates). Snootie is one of the most impressive new talents from below the Mason-Dixon line, scouring each beat for nooks and crevices into which he can pour his Autotune-drowned vocals.
