Already with one of the year's strongest EPs under his belt, Atlanta's Wara From The NBHD is back, with his contribution to the Kaytranada remix of BADBADNOTGOOD's "Kaleidoscope." The young MC picks up where his stellar If Guns Could Speak left off, melding the basest urges ("well you was taking tests, I was studying shorty's features") with the vaguely metaphysical. He's riding around in Ubers because he can't afford Porsches and lamenting his lack of a third eye; Wara is without question a departure from the rest of his Georgian cohorts who are dominating rap right now.

BADBADNOTGOOD is fresh off of Sour Soul, their collaborative album with the legendary Wu-Tang Clan MC Ghostface. The Canadian jazz trio has long been a fixture on the outskirts of hip-hop, and their decision to include Chicago's Tree on Soul speaks volumes about how tapped in they really are. As for the other contributing Canadian, Kaytranada, he's been locked away finishing his next record, collaborating consistently with Chicago's Vic Mensa--whose appearances on Kanye West's So Help Me God promise to vault him into the national consciousness.
