At the Camp Flog Gnaw festival this past weekend in Los Angeles' Exposition Park, Lil Wayne was performing "I'm Me" when he started throwing up the Roc-A-Fella sign. Soon after, instead of saying, "I'm a motherfucking Cash Money millionaire," he replaced the lyric with, "I'm a motherfucking Roc-A-Fella millionaire," prompting some to speculate that he'd signed a deal with Jay Z.

This isn't the first time Wayne has implied he's signed with Hov. Last year, while performing at KMEL Summer Jam in Oakland, Weezy said, "I just signed a deal with my motherfucking idol Jay Z." Many took that to mean he was moving to Roc Nation amidst his quarrel with Cash Money, but his management later clarified that Wayne was referring to his deal as an artist owner on Tidal, the streaming service that released his Free Weezy Album in 2015. Summer Jam was, after all, in June, and Wayne released FWA the following month.

But over a year after that album release, it is strange to see Wayne repping the Roc so hard. Tidal has live streamed Lil Wayne shows in addition to putting out FWA, so clearly Jay has been helping Weezy here and there, but whether Wayne has entered into any sort of deal with Roc Nation as an artist remains to be seen.

Responding on Twitter to the above video of Wayne shouting out Roc-A-Fella, Infamous, a Miami producer who's worked with Wayne for years, hinted that the shout out was "not that random." Perhaps something bigger is in the works.
