Lil Pump and Smokepurpp Are Quitting Xanax in 2018
Lil Pump and Smoekpurpp's love for the prescription drug Xanax is well documented, but it looks like the buzzing South Florida rappers are going to give up that vice in 2018.
Yesterday (Dec. 31), Jetski posted a video of himself in the studio on Instagram. In the short clip, the rapper flexes by showing off his diamond jewelry. The video has no sound, but the biggest thing of note is in the caption. "2018 we going even more crazy love yall 👌🏽💓(btw I don’t take xanz no more fuck Xanax 2018)," he typed.
Later, Purpp also acknowledged he is giving up the drug as well. "We leaving Xanax in 2017," he tweeted. Travis Scott is glad to hear the news. He retweeted the "Phone" rapper's post adding, "This tweet made me happy!!!."
Xans have been a big part of both rappers' personas. Last June, Pump celebrated gaining 1 million followers on Instagram by having a Xanax cake made. "I just hit a million and we celebrating with a Xan cake, bitch," he said in the video, while cutting the peculiar pastry, which resembles a green Xanax bar. "A XAN cake for celebration Last year this time I was a nobody now I'm rich bitch ESSKEETIT Btw I put 500 xanz in my cake," he wrote in the caption.
Of course, there are other pills on the market that Pump has been known to indulge in ("They kicked me out the plane off a percocet"). But hey, you gotta start somewhere.
