Congrats are in order for Lil Poopy. The 13-year-old rapper from Brockton, Mass. has inked a four-year deal with Sony Music Entertainment and Epic Records.

The young MC became a viral sensation for videos like "Pop That" in which he spits, "Coke ain't a bad word, it's just soda." Lil Poopy attracted plenty of controversy for his adult-themed videos too. The rapper's father was even probed for child neglect, but was later cleared.

The trouble for Lil Poopy's father did not stop there. This past June, Poopy's father was indicted after a federal drug raid. Luis Rivera was charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base. Rivera was one of 50 individuals accused of being in a network of various members and associates of the 18th Street Gang, the East Side Money Gang and the Boylston Gang.

With his father dealing with legal troubles, Lil Poopy may have to lean on his manager Devon Sydney. Sydney, who also serves as an executive for THECOOLTV, believes Lil Poopy is more than ready for the limelight.

"When I look at other people of equal age, I can't imagine seeing them standing on stages as he has been on so comfortably," Sydney said. "He likes music. He likes doing what he's doing... His career is going to be fine as long as he wants to do it."
