Lil Durk’s Cousin Lil Mister Shot and Killed in Chicago
The incident happened on the South Side of the city in the Englewood neighborhood, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. Police say the shooting occurred around 7:15 p.m., at the 7400 block of South Harvard Avenue. Mister suffered a gun-shot wound to the head. He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. There is currently an ongoing investigation into the matter. Police are still searching for suspects.
Born Antwon Fields, Mister has been known for contributing to the Windy City's infamous drill scene. His breakout track was 2012's "No Lackin." After serving some time in jail, he returned to the streets in 2016 and continued to put out music. He recently dropped the video for his single "Ride or Die." He was 24 years old at the time of his death. Cook County medical examiner’s office has not revealed its findings.
Durk is currently on tour. He has yet to comment on the death via social media. The news of Mister's death comes on the heels of news that Durk recently reunited with another family member: his father. Durk's father had been serving a 25-year prison sentence for selling crack in the 1990s but was finally released last month.
