Kodak Black Wants to Legally Change His Name
Kodak Black might be known to his fans by his rapper name, but it looks like he is seeking to be known differently when it comes to his legal name. The "Tunnel Vision" hip-hop star, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, is reportedly heading to court to change his legal name to Bill Kahan Blanco.
According to Bossip, the Florida native has already requested the name change, but there's no word on why he wants to change it specifically to Bill Kahan Blanco. So far, the "Haiti" entertainer is waiting for a judge to sign off on the name change, but fortunately, it won't cause any major changes within his music career.
Following his release from prison earlier this month, Kodak wasted no time recording a track in his new home studio. Soon after, he released the song, called "First Day Out," complete with a video. Then he went and got a new diamond grill.
It's been a big month for Black to celebrate his new freedom, as the rapper also recently earned his first two platinum plaques for his hit records “No Flockin” and “Tunnel Vision.”
