Never one notable for his restraint on social media, Kevin Gates has posted to his Instagram account a picture of his hand over his deceased grandmother's mouth as she lays in her casket. The photo, which was posted Friday (March 13), is captioned: "Viewing the body of the woman I called my mama before my show,I'm a miss you I love you forever R.I.P. #Abuela #BWA #idgt." Abuela is the Spanish word for 'grandmother'; the latter two hashtags stand for Bread Winners Association and 'I don't get tired,' respectively. The former is Gates' loose collective of friends and collaborators who have been formed into a label, the latter a tagline he has been using recently and the title of an August Alsina-featuring song on his last mixtape, Luca Brasi 2.

Gates has previously been in hot water over his use of the social media platform; last year, he revealed not only that he had been engaged in a sexual relationship with his cousin, but that the relation caused him no concern. Earlier in 2015, Gates posted a series of videos in which he chided a female companion and kicked her out of his house after she refused to perform oral sex on his dog. This sort of reckless behavior led Gates, who is signed to Atlantic, to scrub his Instagram account of all his original material--however, the dog incident took place after that regrouping effort.

The Show must go on #BWA #idgt
