Kevin Gates released "Kno One," the lead single from his album Islah, way back in July of 2015. Seven months later, Gates fans proved his album was well worth the wait as the Baton Rouge, Louisiana rapper debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with an impressive 112,000 records sold. The No. 2 charting is easily Gates' highest on the chart, topping 2014's By Any Means, which peaked at No. 14, and Luca Brasi 2: A Gangsta Grillz Special Edition, which debuted at No. 38. The 112,000 sold were good enough to bumped Adele's powerhouse album 25 from No. 1 to No. 3.

Coming in at No.1 with 124,000 records sold is Rihanna's Anti. The album, which was released on Jan. 27, was available for only a fraction of the chart's tracking week and debuted at No. 27 in the first week. However, thanks to a deal with Samsung, the album is already certified platinum and was made available for free on Jan. 27. The album was downloaded 1.47 million times in less than 15 hours. Anti is Rih Rih's eighth top ten album and her jump from No. 27 to No. 1 is the biggest jump since Radiohead's In Rainbows leapt from No. 156 to No. 1 in 2008.

Rihanna and Kevin Gates coming in at No. 1 and No. 2 marks the first time since Oct. 24, 2015 that two artists from hip-hop/R&B held down the top two spots on the chart. On that date, Janet Jackson's Unbreakable and The Weeknd's Beauty Behind the Madness charted at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Bryson Tiller's Trapsoul came in at No. 9 with 32,000 sold and G-Eazy's When It's Dark Out rose from 12-10 with 31,000 sold.
