SXSW has come and gone for another year, with the grueling yet highlight-filled two-week festival coming to a climactic finale last weekend in Austin, Texas. For the seventh year in a row, the #SXSWTAKEOVER Showcase was another highlight, with three days of high-level hip-hop taking the city by storm. Last Wednesday's show at The Scoot Inn featured Curren$y, Cannibal Ox, Heems, Grand Puba and more supporting headliner Action Bronson (whose debut studio album Mr. Wonderful is in stores this week), while night two last Friday was headlined by Wiz Khalifa and Taylor Gang, with Ghostface Killah and BadBadNotGood, Dej Loaf, Smoke DZA, Mike WiLL Made It, Rae Sremmurd and Two-9 among the supporting acts.

The final showcase on Saturday night then led with buzzing Minnesota MC Allan Kingdom, who got a big boost in the fame column with his recent feature on Kanye West's "All Day" cut off 'Ye's forthcoming seventh solo album, So Help Me God. The rest of the lineup, present by New Era, featured performances from Bay Area MCs Iamsu! and G-Eazy as well as Redman, whose OG status cannot be disputed. Joey Bada$$ then led his Pro Era crew to the stage to cap off the New Era portion of the lineup at ACL. Check out video of those performances from Saturday night's show above.

Of course, SXSW is one of those experiences where there is so much going on at one time that it's tough to even know where to be. Last week, as the music portion of the festival kicked off, XXL spoke to three booking agents from The Agency Group to figure out just how they go about finding appropriate showcases and performances for their artists. Meanwhile, plenty of rappers spent their time taking photos with each other to show off on Instagram, while we highlighted five different artists from the extensive lineups to keep an eye on in the future.
