Jay Z and Beyonce have been named by Billboard as the most powerful people in the music industry. The publication judges power as “the ability to reshape the world around you according to your vision,” a description that Hov and Bey embody with their heavy influence to both popular culture and the music business.

Thanks to their #NewRules in regards to releasing albums without much, or in Beyonce's case, any previous marketing or promotion, the power couple rightfully claimed the position over top record label executives and company CEOs.
