Jay Electronica Says Jay-Z Joint Project Is Likely
Jay Electronica is playing with his fans' emotions once again by teasing the possibility of dropping new music this year, and some of that music could include a new joint project with Jay-Z.
On Tuesday night (March 19), the Roc Nation signee decided to open himself up for questions from his Instagram followers by hosting a Q&A session in his Instagram stories. During his IG AMA, a fan asked Electronica is he's planning to do a collaborative project with Hov.
"Possible. Likely," the New Orleans native responded.
Electronica hasn't released a full-length project since his debut project, Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge) dropped in 2007. Since then, the 42-year-old MC has hopped on tracks with Big Sean ("Control" ) MF Doom ("True Lightyears") and most recently Poo Bear's "Hard 2 Face Reality" off the veteran producer's 2018 album Poo Bear Presents Bearthday Music. Several months later in September 2018, Jay Elect dropped his 8-year collaboration with Jay-Z and The-Dream dubbed "Shiny Suit Theory."
Later on in his AMA, Jay-E confirmed that fans can expect to receive new music from him this year. Although he's teased new music numerous times in the past, Jay Elect could be telling the truth. A few months ago, he previewed a new track with The Alchemist which sparked rumors about his next album.
