J. Cole has got the rap world in a frenzy with his new 40-minute documentary Eyez, portions of which feature new music. On the song "False Prophets," Cole seems to have some words for Kanye West and his fall from grace that's taken place in recent years. However, some online are identifying the song's second verse as intended for Wale.

Cole tells a story of a rapper friend who wants to achieve the fame, acclaim and respect bestowed to the legends. He raps, "And I know he so bitter he can’t see his own blessings/Goddamn, nigga, you too blind to see you got fans, nigga/And a platform to make a classic rap song/To change a nigga life, but you too anxious living’ life/Always worried ‘bout the critics who ain’t ever fuckin’ did it/I write what’s in my heart, don’t give a fuck who fuckin’ with it/But in a sense I can relate, the need to be great/Turns into an obsession keeps a nigga up late."

Wale has been known to take issue with year end lists or conversations that don't give him his proper respect. Cole and Wale of course have been frequent collaborators on such songs as "Bad Girls Club," and while they broke onto the scene at a relative similar time, Cole has switched gears, focusing on projects, albums and otherwise, rather than singles or marketability.

Many on Twitter see the verse not as a diss but rather a readjustment -- words of encouragement from one friend to another as to what's deserving of focus and energy. Listen to the song via Twitter below, with a collection of reactions in the gallery above.

Cole’s new album, 4 Your Eyez Only, drops Dec. 9.
