Hip-Hop Reacts to Drake’s ‘Scorpion’ Album
Drake's highly-anticipated Scorpion album is finally here and Drizzy fans aren't the only ones feeling the project.
On Twitter, the "I'm Upset" artist has gotten a number of positive reactions from his fellow rappers including Lil Durk, Earl Sweatshirt, Gangsta Boo, Mickey Factz and more. "Can some 1 tell drake thank u from me thanks," tweeted Earl Sweatshirt on Friday (June 29).
Mickey Factz also appears to be a big fan of project and even wants to see an album full of songs like "Emotionless." "All Drake gotta do is make an album of Emotionless records... just once b... pls man," the rapper wrote.
Former Three 6 Mafia member Gangsta Boo was especially fond of the DJ Paul-produced "Talk Up," which features a guest verse from Jay-Z. "Jay went back to old Jay lol that's what them Paul beats do lol," she tweeted. "Dope album. That Nicki collab was dope too," Gangsta Boo added, throwing in a red heart emoji.
Hov's feature on "Talk Up" has been blowing up the internet thanks to a line he raps referencing XXXTentacion's recent murder. "Y'all killed X, let Zimmerman live, streets is done," Jay spits.
Along with the Jay-Z feature, Drake's double-album also includes a guest appearance from Ty Dolla $ign, as well as features from the late Static Major and Michael Jackson, who appear on the songs "After Dark" and "Don't Matter to Me," respectively.
