Many of hip-hop’s finest have leveled up over the last week. In fact, from March 11 to March 19, 40 hip-hop releases were certified either platinum, gold or with an additional level of platinum for moving another one million equivalent album units.

Post Malone leads the pack this week with 15 new certifications. While records like “Stay,” “Spend The Night,” and his current hit “Wow” earned platinum status for the first time, his other platinum-certified smashes such as the Ty Dolla $ign-assisted “Psycho” and songs like “I Fall Apart,” “Better Now” and his Swae Lee collaboration “Sunflower” reached new levels of multi-platinum. The Beerbongs & Bentleys rapper's massive hits, the nine-times platinum-certified Quavo collab “Congratulations” and “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage (now at 8 million sold) are now nearing diamond status.

Then there's Lil Baby, who had nearly as big of a 2018 as anyone. In that time, he dropped buzzworthy projects like his Harder Than Ever project and Drip Harder, the latter of which he crafted alongside Gunna. Both projects earned him several certifications. Just as Rich The Kid prepares to release his sophomore album The World Is Yours 2, he garnered another platinum plaque for his new single “Splashin'”.
