Here's an Exclusive Look at the 2016 XXL Freshman Show in New York

The 2016 NYC XXL Freshman show may be over with, but those out in the West Coast have a chance to experience the Freshman show live this month on Monday (July 25), at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. But for those who missed out on the crazy show in the Big Apple last week, XXL has released the exclusive recap footage of the eventful night.

The NYC Freshman show, which was held on June 28 at the Playstation Theater in New York City, featured six out of the 10 Freshman featured on this year's cover. Kicking things off was Dade County rapper, Denzel Curry, who brought the his wild energy to the stage and performed his hits "ULT" and "N64."

Following Denzel's incredible performance was Harlem rapper Dave East, who repped for his city with the hits "KD" and "Numb." The third act of the night featured internet sensation and 10th spot winner, Lil Yachty, who without a doubt had the crowd in a frenzy with his high-energy performance. Lil Boat even had the New York crowd open up a circle in the middle of the Playstation floor before starting one of the biggest mosh pits of all time.

Rapper G-Herbo was the fourth Freshman to hit the stage on the eventful night bringing the New York crowd that Chi-raq vibe be performing hits off his critically-acclaimed mixtape Ballin' Like Kobe. Following Herbo was Lil Dicky who took the crowd by storm and even took a smoking break in between his set.

Closing out the night, was Brooklyn rapper Desiigner, who brought the house down with his electrifying set. He ended the show with one of the biggest songs of the moment, "Panda." Desiigner proved why he deserves all the talk he's received since the release of his contagious song.
