Today marks the 28th birthday of Aubrey Drake Graham.  He got his start on the Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation.  While acting on the show, he simultaneously worked on his other passion, music. In 2006 he released his debut mixtape, Room For Improvement using the name, Drake .  This was followed by 2007’s Comeback Season which featured Trey Songz on the song “Replacement Girl.” After Lil Wayne heard Drake’s songs from mutual friend, Jas Prince, in 2008, Drake gained more buzz and released the highly anticipated mixtape So Far Gone via his October’s Very Own Blog in 2009.  The tape spawned the twice Grammy nominated single “Best I Ever Had.”  All of Drake’s albums, Thank Me Later, Take Care, and Nothing Was The Same have debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, with the latter selling 658,000 copies in its first week.

Happy Birthday Drake!
