Fresh off of the release of his new album, Jungle Rules, French Montana stopped by The Angie Martinez Show to get some things off of his chest when it came to creating his new LP. He touched on a number of topics including his smash single “Unforgettable,” work with Mama Hope and Global Citizen, and Drake’s Snipe Squad commandments.

When talking about “Unforgettable”—French Montana’s highest-charting Billboard 200 single to date—he shed some light on the difficulties that his team went through to obtain the beat. “This one did what 'Lockjaw' and 'No Shopping' did in a year in one month," he said. “We went to war for that record for six months. The price we paid for it is what people sign their whole budget for.”

He also opened up his experiences visiting an Ugandan Hospital, which persuaded him to work with Mama Hope and Global Citizen to build new rooms for the hospital.

“I just went to this hospital and it just touched me like I’ve never been touched before," French shared. "It was, like, two rooms for 300,000 people.”

He went on to say that since the release of the video, he has partnered with Mama Hope and Global Citizen, as well as The Weeknd, to add upwards of fifty rooms to the hospital.

French even gave insight on the Snipe Squad commandments he and Drake created, which came to light last year. When asked about his extensive list of celebrity romance partners, French mentioned the Snipe Squad and its 10 rules. He named a couple of commandments, the first being “Thou shall not snipe a bro’s ting.”

French's sophomore album, Jungle Rules, dropped last week. The project features guest appearances from Swae Lee, Young Thug, Quavo, Travis Scott and a host of others.
