DJ Envy began the process of promoting his new Just A Kid From Queens album last month when he released his Fetty Wap and DJ Sliink-assisted single, "Text Ur Number." Now he's got a video for the late summer banger.

In the new visual, Envy, Fetty and Sliink are living large, but the activities that enabled them to do so have landed them on the radar of a high-level law enforcement agency. The vid begins with Envy arriving at his pad in a helicopter, and eventually he and the boys throw a party—that eventually gets raided by the aforementioned law. Do they make it out? You have to watch the video to see.

As you probably already know, Envy hosts New York City-based radio station Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club alongside Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee every morning, and has done so for the last six years. Perhaps because of that, he hasn't had much time to release new original music, and his last full body of work was 2014’s Full Breach. Vol. 5. Now he's dropping a new album.

Speaking with XXL last week, the veteran DJ revealed his reason for helping create the melodic "Text Ur Number," which goes against his typical street-oriented leanings.

“When I first set out to do this, I was like, ‘Fuck that. I’m going to take it back to streets. It’s going to be all hardcore shit,’” Envy told us at our New York office. “But then I realized I have different feelings for different moments. Yeah, sometimes I want to hear a grimy, gritty song. But then other times I want to have my shirt off and show my beach body and do some Jersey fist-pumping. But then sometimes, I want to chill with my wife and ride down the street and be sexy and then sometimes, I want to bounce around and act a fool in the club. I wanted to have all those elements on my album. I knew I wanted to have all the moods. It goes everywhere.”

Envy's Just A Kid From Queens is all set to drop in 2018. Check out his new video for "Text Ur Number" below.
