Drake’s “God’s Plan” Video Is the Most Important Thing He’s Ever Done
Drake's new video for "God's Plan" is expected to be a career-defining moment for the rapper.
On Thursday (Feb. 15), the rapper posted a photo of a clapboard from the set of the video with the song title on it along with the caption, "The most important thing I have ever done in my career...drop a 🙏🏽 if I can share it with you."
Looks like Drizzy will deliver an epic visual to go along with the track, which is featured on his new Scary Hours EP.
Earlier this month, the rapper shot the "God's Plan" video at Miami Senior High School in Florida. The clips find Drake turning up with hundreds of students on campus screaming the lyrics to his most recent No. 1 hit.
When "God's Plan" was released last month, it broke Apple Music's first-day streaming record, earning over 14 million streams on Jan. 19.
Aside from the music, the OVO rapper has been in a giving mood to begin 2018. His philanthropic efforts include donating $50,000 to a University of Miami student's education, helping out a women's shelter by donating $50,000, giving $25,000 to a Florida high school, taking care of food shopping tabs for an entire grocery store and organizing a spa day and shopping spree for a 63-year-old housekeeper whose worked for two decades at the lavish Miami Fontainebleau hotel.
In addition, once the 6 God got wind of a Miami Herald story detailing Odelie Paret's grueling commute, Drake took action and gifted her an hour in a South Florida mall to purchase whatever she would like. Paret's purchases reportedly added up to around $10,000. Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver Antonio Brown joined Aubrey in arranging the good deed.
