Summer in America means festival season. And New York City's crowning jewel, The Governor's Ball Music Festival, is set to overtake the Empire State once again this weekend. The three day long festival has been Randall Island's premiere summer attraction since 2011 and has welcomed a number of dope acts over the years from the genres of rock, rap, pop, punk and EDM. Past hip-hop acts to take the stage at Gov Ball include Kid Cudi, J. Cole, Nas, Erykah Badu and more. And with previous headliners including Kanye West (2013) and OutKast (2014), Gov Ball has put more emphasis on hip-hop than ever.

Marking its fifth successful year, 2015's headliner is Drake. Drizzy will be finishing up his short "Jungle" tour with Future in tow. Last time the 6 God had control of a festival stage, he brought out Madonna at Coachella and the two shared a very public, intimate moment onstage. He's also been making a habit of bringing out local MCs at each tour stop and switching up his lyrics. What special guests will he summon this time?

Also marketed in this year's three day line-up is New York's own Bishop Nehru, everyone's favorite hype duo of the moment, Rae Sremmurd, and Future in a separate set from Drizzy.

Aside from the performances, there will be gif and photo booths, lawn games, and of course, Gov Ball's famous Silent Disco. It all goes down Friday June 5 to Sunday June 7 at Randall's Island Park. Check here for more information on all the antics and to grab last minute tickets.
