Major key alert: DJ Khaled just received the key to Miami Beach. On Thursday (Oct. 13) the beach's mayor, Philip Levine, presented the Snapchat Gawd with a giant silver award.

The gesture kicked off the Revolt Music Conference, which takes place through the weekend in Miami. Khaled, Diddy, Kent Jones and other big-name artists were present for the key ceremony at the Eden Roc Miami Beach Hotel. Mayor Levine stood in front of a crowd and said, "You're an incredible motivator, you're an amazing role model, you're everything that this key is about." Khaled said a few words, as well, stating, "I love Miami. To get a key to the city - Miami Beach - you know, I already have a key to Miami, so it’s just more keys! Each key leads to the next key.”

The We The Best CEO also took to Instagram to show his gratitude, typing, "Thank you Mayor Levine! Thank you for the keys to MIAMI BEACH thank you I'm very grateful MIAMI I LOVE YOU!!! Thank you @iamdiddy for the kind great words and congrats another @revolttv weekend... #WETHEBEST @wethebestmusic @epicrecords @rocnation @ciroc @99jamz ...."

The Revolt Music Conference, founded by Diddy, is currently in its third year. As aforementioned, singer Kent Jones was in attendance. According to WSVN-7 News Miami, Jones said, “This is where the culture is at. Shout-out to the OG Diddy. This is something that he’s laid down so this generation can be apart of the culture.”

This isn't the first time Khaled got a key to the city. In October 2015, Miami mayor Tomas Pedro Regalado presented Khaled with keys to the city at Citrus Grove Middle School.
